That is at least what is deduced from one of those news derived from this leak.Īs collected in The Verge, found in that code a hidden theme called ‘Candy’, used by Microsoft developers as a base to complete the design of Windows XP, and from what can be seen in the screenshots they have shared, it is traced to the classic Aqua by Appe, presented at the Macworld Conference & Expo held in 2000. Yet in the computing community, to name it, Macs had been, were, and would be superior in many ways, including aesthetics and among that computer community, apparently, were Microsoft engineers, those responsible for finishing off the style of Windows XP. Try to the beginnings of Windows XP, when Microsoft’s operating system was still in development and the war to occupy space on the PC was still somewhat fierce, even though it seemed – as it finally happened – that Windows had a clear path to sweep, given the success of Windows 95 first, Windows 98 and Windows 2000 later. In any case, the news is generating different derivative stories and one of them is most curious.
